• Low risk thinking - Low risk driving
• Identification of where and how crashes occur
• Fatigue and fatigue management (including urban fatigue) - self management approach)
• Risk Identification and risk taking
• Vehicle appreciation / Safety devices
• Distractions / Safety cushions from/rear/side
• Three sec Gap (Validated by breaking distance and reaction time discussion)
• Use higher order skills such as vision and their relationship to hazard perception

Who Should Attend: All staff working in community care

Cost:

3 hour theory Session: ($20 HACC funded worker, $60 Non-HACC funded worker).

Practical session: ($60 - 2 hr for HACC funded worker & $100 for non-HACC funded worker.

2 person sessions for 3 hours $50 for HACC funded positions & $70 for Non HACC funded positions).

Facilitator Profile

Both Len Balk and Ross Banno have a background in driver education with the NSW Police Force and also commercially going back to 1978 for Len and 1988 for Ross.

National Driver Education Pty Ltd was incorporated in 2004 and in the ensuing years has become one of the leading driver education companies in the country especially in the field of Low Risk Driving.

NDE has a client list which includes multi national clients as well as a number of government departments, authorities and services organisations as well as servicing the public sector.

Both Directors and all trainers employed by National Driver Education P/L are Licensed Driving Instructors, holding Certificate IV in Driver instruction and certificate IV Assessors and workplace training.

All instructors hold a current Senior First Sid Certificate.
