"Let’s Talk About Caring” Conference 2010

Northside Community Forum Inc. is hosting the “Let’s Talk About Caring” Conference 2010 and we would love you to be involved.

The “Let’s Talk About Caring” Biannual Conference 2010, aims to inspire carers and workers on Sydney’s Northside to talk about their caring experiences; to talk about their thoughts and feelings; to meet other carers; to gain knowledge about looking after themselves and to have fun!

Time: 8.30am-4.00pm

The conference will aim to address the issues of caring, and includes interactive workshops to encourage delegates to become active in managing their own health.

There will be:

  • Keynote speakers who will inspire and inform
  • Workshops to for body, mind and spirit
  • Information and exhibition stands.

Northside Community Forum Inc. (NCF) works for the benefit of people who are aged, people with disabilities and carers who live in the Northern Sydney region. The Northern Sydney region includes the eleven local government areas of Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai, Ryde, Hunters Hill, Lane Cove, Willoughby, Mosman, North Sydney, Pittwater, Manly and Warringah.

Carers look after family members or friends who are frail aged, have a disability, chronic condition or mental health disorder. Caring can be rewarding but also exhausting, so carers need to take a break, carers will be attending the conference free of charge.
