Northside Community Forum Inc. is a community based organisation that exists to improve care in our region.

We help carers and the people they care for.

Our community of care includes people who are aged, people with a disability, people with mental health issues, and people with a range of other personal circumstances. It includes their friends and family, our members, and other organisations involved in community based care.

Our mission is to provide and promote the best possible community care services throughout the Northern Sydney region. We believe that the most effective way to achieve our vision is to provide and promote the best possible community care services throughout our area of operation - the Northern Sydney region.

Northside Community Forum Young Carers Project

Young Carers Programme (YC’s) in Northern Sydney have started the year with a bang!

EXPRESS YOURSELF! Art and Writing Competition bought YC’s of all ages together to ‘express themselves’ and their caring stories.  We had entries received that were creative, artistic, soulful and honest depicting a rewarding and challenging life as a YC.  Winners will be announced in February and will be able to be seen on our website.

HOME HOSPICE Community Mentoring Program

Home Hospice Community Mentoring Program (funded by the Cancer Council NSW and Social Ventures Australia) is FREE.

It is supports the carers of terminally ill people who want to live at home until the very end (over 80% of people want to die at home – only 20-30% are able to do so).
